How a pact works

Stake. Prove. Follow through.

A NOOK pact turns one goal into a stake-backed commitment. Your result is determined by your verified follow-through.

01

Stake on a goal

Put real USDC on a goal you actually want to hit. Your stake locks the moment the pact starts — skin in the game from minute one.

02

Prove it with your data

Wearables, Apple Health, screen time, game stats, and learning profiles. Objective data settles every pact — no screenshots, no honour system, no vibes.

03

Finishers share the bonus

Finish and your refundable stake comes back, plus a share of the forfeits from commitments that were not completed.

The math, in the open

A simple 20-person group pool, settled honestly:

$0
staked
20 × $25
$0
forfeited
6 quit
$0
kept back
every finisher
+$0.00
bonus each
14 finishers

Why it feels fair

The outcome is effort, not chance.

NOOK runs on commitment contracts. There's no random draw, no casino-style house, and nothing to buy or hold just to join a pact — you stake in plain stablecoin and the rules are public.

Finishers get their stake back before any bonus is split.
Verification favours objective data over screenshots and vibes.
Every pact shows its rules, stake, and settlement logic upfront.
No house takes the other side of your goal — the outcome is your effort.

FAQ

Plain answers.

What is commitment staking?

Commitment staking is a commitment contract for goals: you stake money on something you control, prove completion with objective data, and finishers share the forfeits from commitments that were not completed.

What is NOOK?

NOOK is commitment staking for real goals. You put a stake behind a goal you want to hit, prove you did it with objective data, and finishers can earn a completion bonus.

Is this gambling?

No. The outcome depends on your own effort — verified by data — not on chance. There's no house taking the other side of your goal and no random draw. It's a commitment contract.

How do you know I actually did it?

Pacts settle on objective data: connected wearables and phone health for movement, screen-time reports for focus, public game stats (OpenDota, Riot, FACEIT, Chess.com) for ranked climbs, Duolingo streak data for learning, and more. Verification favours hard data over screenshots.

What happens to my stake if I quit?

Your pact stake joins the completion bonus pool and is shared among the people who finish.

What does it cost to join?

The displayed commitment is paid in USDC. Today it includes a 1% service fee; the remaining 99% is your refundable pact stake. The confirmation screen shows both amounts before you sign.

Do I need any special setup?

No. You can sign in with email or Google, and stakes are held in a stablecoin so the value stays steady. You don't need anything special just to join a pact.

Ready to commit?

Find a pact worth your stake, define the proof clearly, and build momentum you can see.
